SWMC gets unique machine to help patients
August 16, 2012LAWTON, Okla_New technology that makes nuclear medicine scanning quicker is now available in Southwest Oklahoma. It’s called the Discovery NM630 and it’s at Southwestern Medical Center. The high tech machine looks for problems in different parts of the body like the heart, lungs and bones. Southwestern got the scanner in June but is just now finally able to put it to use. They say now when patients come in to get scans the procedure will be faster and safer.
