Southwestern Medical Center

Southwestern Medical Center has a new program director of its Center for Wound Care. Scott Leckie took over the position in February. He comes to Lawton from southern Utah where he worked for four years to help medical practices grow and expand. He said the position at Southwestern Medical Center was what brought him to this area.

“I’m here to basically help the business side of this department of the hospital,” he said. “I’m responsible for business in the hospital. I work with doctors and managers to support clinical needs. They also send me out into the community to speak with other business leaders.”

Leckie now handles the business of one of Southwestern Medical Center’s newest areas. He works with doctors and nurses in the Center for Wound Care to help the center get supplies and support as needed. He said much of his job is simply networking everyone.

“It’s my job to know who everyone is and what they’re doing so we can allocate resources as we see fit,” he said. “It’s all about helping everyone involved in this center.”
